Art you want to eat! Exhibition to raise funds for Charlie Waller
October 08 2020

Alice, who is based in Herefordshire, explains how it was her “own battle with anxiety, and a breakdown in 2017” which led her to start painting full time. This proved to be “a ray of light”, which carried her through the darkness, developing into a passion that has become her career.
Alice is keen to bring to light the difficulties the pandemic has had on our mental states – the fear, the worry, the isolation and changes we’ve all had to make to our everyday lives – but also the hope and pleasure that art can bring.

In this exhibition, presented by Kate Preston Art, Alice explores the food she dreamed of during lockdown, including one of her all-time favourite puddings, lemon meringue pie, along with a seriously wobbly jelly and a steaming pot of mussels. Alice uses a vibrant colour palette and thick, brave brushstrokes which result in deliciously textured paintings. This really is ‘Art you want to Eat’.
Prepare yourselves for a brave yet uplifting riot of colour which we hope these paintings will bring to your weekend…and hopefully your walls!

We are delighted to be sharing a percentage of any sales with The Charlie Waller Trust – they are such a dedicated team and with your help, we can do our bit to help them. This is a subject which affects us all.
The exhibition will be running from Saturday 10 October to Sunday 18 October online at www.kateprestonart.com.
Paintings will also be available to purchase via Kate Preston Art.
