Michelmores extends charity partnership
March 01 2021

Charlie Waller has delivered mental health training to Michelmores staff and shared resources for line managers to support employee wellbeing. Michelmores has helped advise Charlie Waller on its workplace offering and is also lending its legal expertise to help the charity review and update its articles of association.
Michelmores staff have also undertaken some incredible fundraising efforts in 2020. This has included James Whistler running a solo marathon as part of the ‘virtual’ London Marathon, which has so far raised more than £1300. Christa Feltham raised £3565 by taking on the challenge of cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Michelmores also ran a fundraising ‘Where’s Nirav’ competition, a 'Where’s Wally?' style challenge to find Nirav Patel, one of Michelmores’ Senior Associates!

This year, nearly 200 of the Firm's people have taken the 'Making Strides' challenge: to collectively walk, run or cycle 10,000 miles from mid-February to mid-March in aid of the Trust and their wellbeing. Teams of up to 15 have been embracing the elements to get out into the fresh air during their lunchbreaks. The aim is to rack up the miles and cover the equivalent distance between their offices several times as a team.
Clare Stafford, CEO of the Charlie Waller Trust, said:
“This is a fantastic example of a two-way partnership where each party is benefitting from the other’s expertise. The team at Michelmores care passionately about mental health and they have really embraced employee wellbeing. We are really looking forward to working more closely with them over the course of this year.”
Nirav Patel, senior associate at Michelmores said:
“Never has mental health in the workplace been as important as it is now. We are lucky to have a team who are incredibly enthusiastic about mental wellbeing so the partnership with Charlie Waller has really struck a chord with so many of us. We’re thrilled to be continuing to work with Charlie Waller into 2021 and supporting the incredible work they do.”
