London Marathon 2024

Join #TeamCharlieWaller and take part in the iconic London Marathon on Sunday 21 April 2024!

Join over 40,000 runners on the 26.2 mile route that includes some of the most famous landmarks in the city including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.

Looking after our mental health has never been more important and you can help us make sure young people know how to take care of their mental health by taking on this challenge.

We have 5 places for 2024 and would love for you to be part of #TeamCharlieWaller. Please read the application process before applying for a Charlie Waller place. Please note registering your interest does not secure you a place.

Application process

The London Marathon is a very popular event and we are thrilled to have 5 places available to offer to our supporters.

Please contact the team at fundraising@charliewaller.org to express your interest in having one of our Charlie Waller places. We will then email an application form to you which needs to be completed and sent back to us by 31st July. We will be reviewing all applications and will inform you if you have been successful by the end of August.

Applications for our places are always oversubscribed, so please take the time to explain your motivations for wanting to run for the Charlie Waller Trust.

Cost and fundraising

A Charlie Waller place costs £20 and we kindly ask our runners to raise a minimum of £2,500 in sponsorship.

What to expect from us?

We want to make sure that we provide you with all the support and encouragement needed to make this event an experience to remember. We want you to truly feel like you are a part of #TeamCharlieWaller.

As a runner with #TeamCharlieWaller we’ll give you:

• Support from our lovely office team and a dedicated contact
• Branded technical top (T-shirt or vest)
• Tips for achieving your fundraising target

We will use email to contact you and only ever call you if we need to discuss your application.

Already have a ballot place?

Join #TeamCharlieWaller using your own ballot place.

If you have already secured your own place for this event and would like to support us, please let us know by emailing fundraising@charliewaller.org .

This will allow us to get in touch with you to provide support and encouragement as well as to send you our branded Charlie Waller top. We want to be there for you as much as possible.
